I have a 4.8 and swapping in an LQ9. can i just swap in the LQ9 computer?

I have a 2000 chevy truck with the 4.8. I am swapping in a rebuilt 6.0 later this week which will be mostly stock aside from headers, and LS6 cam/springs. Cani just swap in the 6.0 computer from the 2001?

No, the 2001 6.0 most likely had a 4l80 instead of a 60 like your truck. The 6.0 will run on your old tune but not to it's full potential.

The VATS would not allow it to start on the other pcm. Either way you need a tune.
