Hey guys i am brand new to the LS4 engine and i was wondering if someone could help me out. I am looking to get an exhaust/intake and tune but i was curious if it is worth the money to even bother making this car modded up.

Also which order should i buy the parts.

As for exhaust, you have a choice.. SLP duramax magnaflow borla

Intake.. K&N

Tune.. superchips cortex, hp tuners, or diablo trinity/predator

Cortex I believe is cheapest.. best is prob the trinity.. lew can tune you for exactly what you have.. ask around and you will find him.. I forgot his handle

And you'd need some sticky tires.. potenza pole positions.. s04 if they're just for summer, or the 970s for all year driving all seasons

Noticeably difference in power? And did it disable the DoD

Very noticible increase in power and a change in shift points and a nice mpg gain around 1-2 mpg. He can disable the dod if you want. I raced a mazdaspeed3 3 times stock and had him by about 3/4 to 1 car. now im just walking away. and its one less shift in the 1/4 mile as my second use to go out to 85 now its like100-105. he can tune your shifts to be a little firmer and raise your rev limiter.

I went with the Magnaflow Catback system along with CAI intake. She sounds beautiful as is. After I finish up my audio I'm going to put on a Hogan DP with DT Headers hopefully.

You should go to YouTube and listen to whichever exhaust system you like the best though.

I called up hogan and went with an offroad version of the DP7S downpipe with a full 3" exit flange and rear O2 bung. this was about 280 bucks.

spent 180ish on all the tubing and welded up my own 3" into dual 3" catback.

fabricated my own CAI kit. 2 layers of 28ga sheet metal with 2 layers of header wrap inbetween. you can torch one side and the other side won't even discolor.

i'm in for MAYBE 600 bucks total. Otherwise you're lookin at:

DP - 280ish
CAI inc kit 300
Magnaflow - 725

i saved over 50%. I like my way better.

Yeah I had a shop do a 2.5" catback for me for $175 + cost of muffers and tips, saved me money for sure.
