G8, CTSV and Goat are my favorite cars out there, (alot because I have kiddos). Needless to say, I would have one if I could afford one.

Rare car and faster than shit. Ultimate sleeper to those who don't really know about cars. My A6 did a bone stock 12.93 and with simple bolt on's, I'm at 11.91. Do it.

Only con is that it's a gas guzzler.

Well i wouldnt be buying it for the milage thats for sure. My gp gxp only gets 15mpg so the 6speed might actually be an upgrade lol. Put a deposit on it. Yeah yeah.

I say go for it, you don't see very many G8's out there, and very very little GXP's

Ours has been a good car.
My complaint about the manual is the screwed up hydraulics. The fluid gets dirty quick and the pedal starts sticking when it does, but thats a non-issue with the A6. I have the A6 in the V. Its nice, but it isn't as fun as the manual. Then again I'll never have to change a clutch in it and its all covered by the warranty. Clutches aren't.

Thanks guys , just jumping throgh the hoops right now. Getting a car fianced accross the border is not as easy as i initially thought. My bank cant secure collateral on the car until after its registered here. So either i need a cosigner or i need financing in the usa to get it here and then re finance it when it gets here. Ill get er though

Not looking good , when my bank looks up the cars value all they can see is the GT trim level pricing. Now they are trying to figure out why i want 35k for a car they value at 25k. Despite the fact that the person i got on the phone knew exactly the car i was talking about , right down to the hp...

Just bought a g8 gxp and question why when i could have saved 10k and went with a base gt. I can't get my HP tuneres to work on it but I may need the new bata version it seems. Very nice car for a DD, but to mod I think a Gt might me a better buy.

I wanted a V8 stick GM car that my family could fit in. I looked for a M6 GTO but none were in my area when I wanted to put coin down. My buddy said "Ill sell ya my GXP...."

I ran into trouble as well at the bank but get it straightened out after a little back and forth negotiations.

They had issues when they were new too. I could have gotten a manual back in the day but the issues, wheel-hop and modern six gear design had me going auto on my new GXP purchase instead. No regrets.

I have seen a multitude of G8s with individual LEDs going out in the 3rd brake light. Something to be weary of when purchasing.

Open it up , check the solders , and if need be solder a new one in. LED's are cheap.

I currently own a G8 GXP M/T. Kooks L/T, intake, tune, and Pedders XA coilovers. I have around 58K miles, no issues other then road wear and tear. I hope I own several more GXP's in my life time, this really is in my top 5 cars to own. (affordable cars to own, we could talk for years if we had millions to spend) At this time I am looking for a cheap car so i can keep miles off of her.

Oh and I have no kids, I just love four doors. Owned a GTO and a Formula before this.

I have been tracking ebay almost daily for months and yes people have been asking that much. Very few cars have been selling for 35K.
