Default At What point does one need a super vic/ 4500 tb?

My current setup is a 408 with 12.5-1 compression with AFR 225s and a vic jr and 4150 fast tb. at what point does a super vic and 4500 become beneficial and should i move up to this? The reason for me asking is after i pulled the intake off and the ports on my heads are almost twice the size of the vic jr lol and i feel it is choking the motor? would the 4150 be ok with a super vic?

Any advice is appreciated.

im sure you will gain everywhere going from a victor jr to a super vic. especially having AFR heads. but i would port match either manifold before you put it back on. and as far as the 4150 4500 thing yes im sure you will see gains from that aswell. but your car will be suited for pretty much the drag strip. if thats ok with you than go for it. i would for sure go to a super vic and probably just stay with the 4150. the only way i would go to a 4500 TB would be if i was trying to squeeze as much HP out of my combo possible or was planning on more cubes down the road.

that was actually my line of thinking last night after fighting with myself, the 4500 is probably overkill for my setup, it will be a nitrous car
