Default can you pull the oil pan off in the car?

Thinking about putting a baffle in the oil pan. Currently have trans out, wondering if it is possible to pull the pan out or if I need to pull the k member or lift the motor to do it. Thanks

you will either have to raise the engine, or lower the k member/take it off...oil pan is in there tight.

If the trans is out unbolt it and it should slide out the back unless you tried. Its tight but im not thingking that tight i just dropped my pan not out but with it all the way unbolted theres a lot of room between the k member and bottom of the block

I don't think it will just slide out with the pick up tube as stated above, not 100% tho

Easiest way is lowering the k-member. This should give you some idea on what's involved. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...-write-up.html
