Default Procharger?

Ok I searched the Forced Induction forum but didn't like what I found, so I figured I would ask here & see what I could get. I have a friend who is upgrading his P1-SC1 to a D1 & has offered the Head unit to me at an insane price. Is there any way this head unit can be used on my V? There's gotta be a way!!! LOL I need this blower!!!

That smoking deal is gonna make you bust out the credit cards and cut off wheels. Prochargers on cts-vs are expensive and time consuming.

Thanks for the link mossburg but none of that kit is available anymore. The main problem will lie in the fact that it is an f-body head unit. Not the same as the gto unit they used.

The head units are the same regardless of the cars they use them on. Its the kits that they use to bolt the head unit on with that changes from one type of car to the next.

^that site is your best resource. I'm making a kit that is unintercooled and much cheaper/simpler, but I probably wont be done for a few months (assuming it will work)

Actually you are wrong. Apparently the F-body head unit is a reverse rotation & will not work. This came from two individuals who have tried the same thing. Sucks, too, cause I would hack this bitch to pieces to make it work lol!

Depends on how you are mounting it. For my kit I am using the F-body reverse rotation, but I am also fabbing my own bracket.

Steve at SNL said he was considering making a kit for the V's... Maybe you should offer him your car and head unit and tell him to go to town!

haha, mine is a few months away. I'm buying pieces cuz I don't have the money to buy everything now. And my kit will be unintercooled at first, or at least just meth cooled. May figure out a intercooler later.

In that case you'd probably be better off buying a nicely used f-body and piecing together the existing kit and enjoying the V as a sporty daily and the f-body as a FAST as **** weekend toy.

Several ways to go about this:!! There is the hard expensive way,, & there is the harder more expense way & then there is the Very Very expensive way that isn't so hard... bacause your paying some one else to do all the work

No, Really don't know anyone who has done this without spending a consideralbe amount of money before they were done. (haven't been alot of them )

vmapper did a good article on his install a while back ....you might look at the list of stuff needed to start with cause it might change your mind

Hint: a cheap head unit is gonna be a small part of the cost before your
done

But .......... Good Luck on it anyway
