So sad. But at 18 and under the influence isn't a good combo at all. Well neither is 21+ under the influence but I'm sure a person in their 20's has more sence.

This has happened four times the last two years in my neighborhood. None killed but all of them 17-18. One ran into my truck, one into my tree/wall/fence recently. One into a neighbors house while they were asleep and one into three parked cars

There is NO excuse for doing ANY racing in residential areas....period!!

They are lucky that no others were killed in this type of environment.

A track wouldn't of helped this situation. A drunk 20 year old in a performance car NO track would have kept this from happening.

Prayers to the fam. Ever since the tracks have closed , I've seen more fart cans :barf: racing on residential streets by my house as well. I agree the tracks need to open back up, but that will not solve the whole problem.

Yeah my Dad heard the story on Saturday since that is about 1 mile from my house. Dumb kids thinking they are invincible, sad story but I do agree opening the tracks make it easier, these guys could have gone to Adam's track and raced gokarts or taken their own cars on the track.

Prayers to families involved and I hope they find the "silver sedan" too I want to know why a Mustang was racing a sedan lol.

Alcohol and HP never mix, can't say age would matter. I lost a good friend that blew out the back of a 1991 Mustang GT hatchback since the driver decided to do donuts in a parking lot and hit a cement pillar at God knows how fast. I almost got into that car...I even had one foot in the back seat and decided to walk home.

Hell, where I live we have plenty of race tracks, shit like this still happens all the time.

We have:
Pueblo Motorsports Park-Friday night drags, pay your fee, run as much as your tires can hold up. At least once a month in the summer you have drags on Sat & Sunday. There is also Road racing events.

PPIR- now closed, but in the works of a private club. This would host stock car racing, sport bike racing...you name it.

Bandimere Raceway- not sure, but they are always doing something.

HPR- Road Racing (and a flippin fun track), open all the time.

I am no angel on the streets, but I try to keep it a reasonable risk (I'm not going to race a 2009 Z06). Rush hour traffic or crowded highway isn't the time or place. In CO, you get caught street racing...better get a lawyer. You just lost a buttload of points off your licence.
