Lots of yards in Harrisburg area with Fbodies. Most are pick and pulls.

Im thinking of selling my 373 rear 4 channel 10 bolt. It needs a wheel bearing from the sound of it. I was driving on it as of last week. If you want it Ill sell it for $200. And I know a local guy for $120 he'll install a complete bearing and seal kit. Kit will cost about $120-140 depending where you buy. The rear and installer are in south jersey near delaware memorial bridge.

So for $450 you can have a fresh 373 rear.

If I gave him my rear with a new diff would he install that plus all other bearings and seals ect.? For close to that price?
Thanks

Yeah he would probly do it but my cost was with the rear out of the car. If you do the same he should be around the same price.

There are 3 or 4 of these sitting in my local U-pull yard just outside of Taneytown. They'll pull them for you for and drop it in your truck for $500, or you can spend 30 minutes and DIY for hundreds less.

What is the name of the yard do you have a link? Phone number or anything to get ahold of them? Thanks!!

Im in the same boat as you are. Thinking my carrier bearings are shot, but I dont know until I open it up and have a look. It would be nice to find a place that has newer Fbody parts in stock around Harrisburg and doesnt want your first born for pieces.

Ok thanks.... And quick question might be a dumb one but I found a rear end but the guy doesn't know what it came out of trans am or Camaro and he doesn't know the ratio he said if I could find out for him he'd give me a deal if I wanted it but it HAS traction control so I don't want it but I was jw how do you tell don't you count the teeth on the larger gear? But how would you tell if it's 2.42 or 3.42? And how would I tell if it's 3.08? Thanks if you can't help ha

Chaz's Auto Parts. NW of Taneytown, MD. Near the PA border, right off Rt 15. They have their online prices, but the U-pull prices are a fraction of the cost. Minimal selection, but the cars are all up on blocks, well spaced, and they have a gravel (not mud!) yard :) I was there 2-3 weeks ago and they had several 98+ cars.
