Default '98-'99 vs '02 heads - exhaust ports any different?

Just wondering if, aside from having to weld an
EGR bung shut, there's any reason a '98-'99 set
of, say, MACs wouldn't work on a later year? Are
the exhaust ports any different at the manifold?
It seems some of the performance heads look
different (D-port?) and just want to know before
I go making offers on something I shouldn't.

Jimmy,

The 98-99 headers will work fine. Even the Z06's use the same style round header.

The whisper headers on my car were designed for a 98. I just put a block off plate on the EGR.
