I keep seeing different specs for the GM MLS 6.0l head gaskets for the 4" bore 6.0. I am looking for the compressed thickness and the bore size of the gasket. I found 28-12589227 and it says .054" thickness. Then I see people posting about the gaskets being at .051 compressed..... Well, this starts to play into my calcs as to what my compression is. I also need the real bore size of the gasket as well.

Anybody have the real numbers? thank you!

The old gaskets off of my 6.0 were .054 (I measured thickness but I didn't check the bore). My new 046 gaskets are advertised at .051 (I went from 317s to LS3s). I'll measure up my old gaskets (and get the p/n) tomorrow for you. What heads are you using?

The gaskets I pulled from my 6.0 are 12569365 and measure 4.045 x .054. My heads are installed already so I can't get the measurement on the 046s for you. I hope this helps.

From what I've seen the advertised compressed thickness measurements are right on, FWIW the 046s are advertised at .051 and 4.080.

.051 is exactly what I need. Who sells the 046 with that size? Speed inc sells them .055 advertised.

Both Summit and Pace spec the 12610046 at .051 and 4.080.
