Default TNT ring and K&N FIPK?

Has anyone tried to use these together? I have it and was putting it on and boy dose it stick out far. I'm thinking about cutting the hoses but scared I might end up messing it up all together. I was wondering if anyone had done this yet or if eveyone was just using a lid with it. Thanks...

I just got done with my f1 kit install ..really like 10 minutes ago its 4 am here in arkansas!!!! it will work and its a hell of a lot easier to cut than a lid im sure took me about 30 seconds. Just cut the oval piece that goes from your power ring to your maf housing with a sharp razor knife, can't remember exacly how much i cut off i think about an inch or so but just cut a little try it and then cut it some more..you CANT mess it up just cut it evenly its not hard,,cut away my friend. Wish me luck tomorrow i get the bottle filled up and am off to the dyno.. I am kind of scared though...thats a lot of money if something goes boom

Cool thanks. Jsut wasn't sure. I have a ZO6 mass air and I think it is longer than a stock one so it sits really close to the ring if. I guess it's time to go cutting.

Nope not yet. I had a local shop rebuild my tranny and after 100 miles 3rd gear came out again. They have it again now and when I get it back I am going to hack away. I guess now I have a little time to think about it. Thanks for the help.

Well I just finished cutting it and it fits. Thanks I forgot about that piece. I used to have a nozzle run in it but took it out after install of the heads and cam. So I had bought a hose from Baker and it didn't have that up hill turn in it so that was giving me the problems. Thanks again and now to get the tranny fixed so I can spray it again.

Well now the new bracket they sent (that they called looks like a piece of pie) runs on the throttle peice on the side keeping it from closeing all the way. Did you have any problems there? Did you make it to the dyno yet? How did it do? Later..

hey yes i had problems because i mounted the solenoids upside down on my bracket (the pie Piece) i did a search for pics of the tnt install and got it corrected. i dont know how to move pics around on here yet but if you need a good pic of an install the right way do an andvanced search on the nitrous section and search for all posts by username BigBake. there will be a topic under tnt install pics this is an excellent pic, much thanks to him for this. i didnt get to go to the dyno..it was raining and it was nasty outside, also my retarded friend snapped one of my fittings in half trying to cahnge a jet out..waiting on a new one from tnt. good luck
