Default My Borla dumped is quiet!!

I've been thinking about what exhaust I wanted to run on my camaro for a long time and I finally decided on a Borla XR1 dumped at the end of the I. Looking at the muffler I thought this was gonna scream. This thing is ALOT quieter than I thought. I was running the longtubes, ory, and the stock catback with a knock off flowmaster with 4 inch tips and this thing is alot quieter. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else running this was suprised at how tame it actually is. At least I won't have to turn my car off in drive throughs like in the T/A lol. (LMII duals).

Let me guess it's a 5" diameter case with a 3" inlet/outlet, #40085 ?

I had a very similar 5" case Dia., 3" inlet/outlet Magnaflow , #12867 in the I-pipe that I had dumped, It was also quieter then i thought it would be.

Dynomax doesn't offer a 5" dia., and that's the largest size you want for the I-pipe. Otherwise you lose ground clearance and probably have clearance issues with the drive shaft, and that's with just a 3" drive shaft, not a 3.5 or 4" shaft.

Now their Ultra Flo (oval ) mufflers are a very good option for the stock location to tone down the exhaust.

Straight pipe > Bullet mufflers > Chambered mufflers > Flowmaster (lol).

I vote a dynomax bullet... or man up and go duals

I would much rather of had duals but I didn't want to lose ground clearance since I'm going to be lowered and I would have because exhaust shops around here suck.

The Borla in reality is perfect. Great sound, very tame, but the main thing is its not loud enough for cops to bother you but it doesn't sound like its a puss either. I couldn't even imagine how quiet a Borlamouth is during normal driving. You can barely hear it dumped.
