Default Check out this jerry rigged electrical disconnect

Ran across this on a service call today.

I honestly could not believe it when I opened up the panel to find this.

At least you can use the clips as a disconnect. :gah:

Yeah, this is on the main disconnect on a manufactured home. 200 amp service on this home. OMG. and on top of that the previous home that was there was a 100 amp service home and they didnt change the wire. so now we have to put a whole new service in the home. Im just glad no one got hurt or nothing burnt down.

You would be amazed at some of the stuff I get stuck working on sometimes... People hire these idiots and then I get called and stuck with their crap job that could kill someone.

As a kid I helped my dad wire houses, my uncle built them, dad & I wired them. So I know how houses need to be built. When I had a house built soon after I got married, I had to go check on it every night to make sure they were doing it right. They weren't. It's amazing how stupid somethings get done.
