99 camaro ss vs charger srt 8
Had a fun run wih a charger SRT8, we ran before but never got a clean run due to my clutch issue.
Since then I've fixed my clutch, swapped from mac midlength headers 1 3/4" to hookers 1 7/8"(not gaining anything and loss torque, but will let the engine breathe better when I stroke the engine), he got 75 nitrous on the car now but in this run he runs N/A due to problem with bottle heater.
Long story short, we meet up one night and do some runs, we agreed on 20 rolls. We pretty much dead even, with him slightly pulling on 1st and 2nd, you can see the rest of the race in the video

All in all it was a fun night, had several nice runs, and most importantly now I have new respect for them srt8, the car is a beast despite of its weight.

Tail lights are the biggest give away. OP I can't tell the gap between you and the Charger after 3rd gear. I figured you would pull pretty steadily on him unless your car is setup conservatively.

I agree that you should've walked him... Unless his tune is somehow netting hime an extra 150hp lol. Is your car tuned? Are you sure he's only got a tune and ran off the bottle?

i've raced tons of bolt ons fbodies and i can safely say that none of them would beat me in the big end even the gutted one.
for some reason the car feels like coming alive after on 3rd gear and 4th is always my killer gear.
FWIW i have nitto NT05 315 on rear
This. They are quick and impressive for their weight. this SRT8 that raced me beat a stock 5.0 just to give you ideas how quick it is
thanks man!
my car is tuned and his bottle wasn't even connected.

I remember that... I'm still not powershifting status yet but I've improved a good amount. And on top of that, we both have pre 01 4th gens. 01-02 had better hydraulics and shifting was Much smoother up above 5 grand. Do the drill mod or get a Tick master cylinder. Once I dropped the OEM clutch shifting was a bit better... but I've heard it's like butter with a Tick master. Can't wait to pick one up.

I've raced my buddies 2007 Charger SRT8 on the track and street... He had a tune, CAI and catback. There is nothing but respect on my end... just confused because I'm door to door with his from start to finish.. you should be killing him everywhere. (keeping in mind im on stock tune and running terrible)
