Do you think they will be safe under the car?

I think it should be. The car won't see harsh weather anymore. The chances of a rock kicking up aren't super high, but that's the only thing i could see going wrong

Maybe a thin sheet of plexiglass for protection? Looks good, creative, I like it

Definitely a neat idea.

I am not a fan of the long plug wires that you will have to use. They are going to be close to the exhaust, and many moving parts. IMO the short wires help with performance, and cost. The shortest distance possible for the signal to travel is better. Nice fabrication, but I would do some sort of cover for them though.

the wires should be no longer than LT1 wires.

I actually will have an easier time avoiding the exhaust by having them here. i have a PTK style twin turbo kit.

It certainly looks better than a car we had come into the shop where the previous owner just stacked the coils up between the battery and the firewall and wrapped some saran wrap around them..

LOL! :bang::bang:

We all know how the LT1 is with its wires, opti, and all. It is simple physics. The strength of the signal being sent degrades over distance and time. It can have an effect on timing, strength, and burn of the spark. Shorter performs way better, and is part of killer design. Its your ride, and you did the mod nicely, so way to go

the optispark was more of the failing than the wires. I'm hoping it won't be TOO much of an issue. especially with the MSD coils. good quality wires should also help
