Default Is this still good?

I know its not an LS1 but...

Im trying to figure out how much i need to spend on my engine and need some advice.

Im planning on between 4-500 hp for a street car GTO i'm working on but some of the cylinder walls are all crusty and rusty from sitting.

Can all the rust and build up be cleaned off without damaging the cylinder walls or do i have to tear apart the bottom end and get a machine shop to do some work to it.

How would you proceed with this?

You will have to tear it apart.
Maybe you will get away with a slight cleanup but probably you will have to bore it little bit.

That damage is minimal to marginal ,,,,,,,it's not very bad really in other words take it out take it apart and take it to a machine shop that has experience with LS based gen3/4 chevy and pick a piston size , buy the pistons and make sure the machine shop does'nt do anything to it until You're pistons arrive ,,,,,,then take pistons to machine shop to match them and the bore
