What type of lube do I need for cam install?

Default What type of lube do I need for cam install?
Can you use motor oil or do you need a special assembly lube?

When i do it, i just coat the cam in the oil i use in the car. I think alot of people do that. Works fine for me.

Since its a roller, use motor oil..if it was old flat trappet design, then have to use cam lube (paste).
