Gears & Axles - Driveshaft and U joint problems on 9"

Got my 9" installed, the driveshaft that came with it was for a TH350 so its too long. My buddy gave me a driveshaft from his T56 to his Midwest Chassis 9" and the U joint on it is too big. Can I just change the U joint to a smaller one? Or would it be cheaper/easier to have the long driveshaft that has the right U joint shortened? Also, the driveshaft from the MWC 9" is about an inch or so longer than my stock one, I thought it was supposed to be shorter?

(.. it was for a TH350 so its too long)
I do not know any thing about TH 350

(.. and the U joint on it is too big. Can I just change the U joint to a smaller one? )
YEP
(...Or would it be cheaper/easier to have the long driveshaft that has the right U joint shortened? )
NOPE , a good solid conversion joint only 15-18.00

(..the driveshaft from the MWC 9" is about an inch or so longer than my stock one, )

drive shaft for 9" should be about 1" longer than a stock shaft, you can run a stock but it will not go into trans a far as it should. may cause vibrashion or could twist the spline in the front yoke

Just took some measurements,
U joint on the Midwest Chassis driveshaft: 3.625 x 1.1875 which I believe is a 1350
U joint on driveshaft that came with 9", which is what is on my 9" yoke: 3.25 x 1.125 which I believe is a 1310

Looks like the opposite of what everyone else needs, and I cant seem to find it.

Is this correct?

Every 1310 to 1350 I see has the 1310 as a 3.25 x 1.0625. How much is that extra 1/6th of an inch going to matter for cap diameter? This is the last fucking piece of the build I need to drive this thing out of the garage! If 1.0625 is ok I can stop at Speed Unlimited on my way home and finally drive this BIOTCH tonight
