Hey guys, I'm in the process of installing an LS1 into my 68 C10. I finally got around to setting the engine in to check all my clearances. Everything fits great, but I used a truck oil pan, and it hangs about 1 1/2" below the crossmember. Do you guys think this would be ok, or would it cause problems? I'm not too worried about speed bumps, but uneven road surfaces or edges of the asphalt if I have to pull off the road may be an issue. Would switching to an f-body pan have better clearance?

I'm using EEC mounts with Ctsv pan should bring the sump even with the crossmember or above it by half inch. Check out hartrob suburban build will show pictures of the pan installed. I think the post 762

We have a 68 c-10 and used the H3 alpha pan. It will buy you another .75".

Well, I didn't take pics of underneath, but here's how the engine will sit in it. I'm using POL tubular mounts mounted in the rearward 6-cyl position. I definetely have the extra room for the f-body pan.





Does anyone have pics of theirs with the LH8 pan installed?
