Default Mac Midlengths for 2002?

I have a friend of a friend who has a set of mac midlengths for a ls1, but for some reason I think I've seen where they separate 98-00 and then 01-02 headers. I don't know what year he bought them for, he was trying to make them fit in his ls1 powered rx-7 but failed. So do all ls1 headers fit all the year bodies or are they different for 98-00 and 01-02??? I could only find them listed for 98-00 on macperformance.com, no page for 01-02's. Also, if they fit is $200 for them, never used, plus a y-pipe, a good deal?

Good deal = yes. They all fit on the motor, its the AIR/EGR connections that differ. 98-99 are direct fit with the 98-00 mac's. 98-00 macs fit a 2000 car if you get the 98-99 air/egr tubes, and I believe they fit 01-02 motors if you get block off plates for the fittings on the header. Someone correct me on the 01-02 if I'm wrong.

I'd look in the wanted/classifieds for a set. Lots of guys remove the AIR/EGR when they go with headers, so you should be able to find some.

Post in parts wanted, I was extremely close to getting a set of macs a while ago and posted for the same thing, had responses within hours.
