Default headlight removal

I know some do it at the track, but does anyone have concrete evidence it makes a difference? Ie higher traps or timeslips. In theory it would help but has anyone tried both ways?

I've been curious about this too, but never wanted to deal with unhooking my HID's and putting them back on afterwards.

I did it on this car and my GTP. No idea if it helped because the 60' was never consistent and that will throw your time and mph either way. I will say I ran my best times in both cars like that.

i thought the one member that ran the 13.6 bone stock said the car wouldnt break 13.8 until he pulled the driver side headlight. from what i remember it was at atco, and it was very cold out. to my knowledge thats the best stock time recorded so far. 13.68? well i would consider it stock. im sure some would argue that the headlight out makes it not stock, but whats next saying lowering the tire pressure makes the car no longer stock.

I'll post vids and slips later this month when the track opens. Cecil county is late to open this year as they are resurfacing the entire track
