I have a DMH electric exhaust cutout and need a place to mount the switch. A good spot for me is in the ashtray. Is there a plate i could buy that would snap in the ashtray?? Where is another good location for the switch??

Mines in the ashtray. Unfortunatly I did not install it so I cannot help u on the bit part. But it works good in the ashtray, hidden from view when not in use. Don't have to have curious passangers always asking "what's this switch?"

Mine is also in the ashtray, but i couldn't tell you the bit size. I just started small so as to not crack the bottom and work my way up until it fit snugly.

you can put it in the shifter console on the side. put it back a little ways so you cant see it and your leg wont hit it.

You could use a convertible switch, it looks factory and you don't have to drill anything.

I put mine in the ashtray. Its been so long ago, cant remember the bit size. It may be was 1/2.

I do not have my car handy now to see, but I am fairly sure its just right on the bottom of the ashtray, no plate or anything.

Mine is located above the right top corner of the ash tray on the console. My 98s interior is dark gray like the switch and its camoflaged!
