Well, I did a search and came up with mixed results. I am replacing my pacesetter headers with Kooks 1-7/8 stainless headers and I was considering wrapping them. I would do this to decrease underhood temperature, and I only thought of it because my knock sensor extensions were damaged by the heat coming from the headers. I have heard that header wrap traps heat which could crack mild steel headers, but will it have the same effect on stainless?

Should I wrap them or not?

I would suggest just wrapping the extensions. Most header manufacturers will void warranties if wrapping the headers is done.

I will do that. Thank you.
