I do have one criticism, the terminals on the box aren't the greatest; the speaker wires don't stay put as well as they could.

That being said I wouldn't let that put me off from buying one, the price can't be beat.

inside we suggest to solder the connection so they do not vibrate lose:D

The outside. We did go ahead and solder the wires on the inside, and then put a staple on the wires on the outside to keep them from yanking out. So I think it'll be fine.

Got mine today. It'll be a little while before I'll have the whole sound system up and running. Got a slight hiccup with my sub amp order. Gotta wait till it gets in before I can exchange it for the one I needed. -Wasn't paying attention when I ordered it.

I'll post a build thread when I get everything.

got my box about a week ago, not going to be installed for a month or so, but overall extremely happy with the quality, it seems sealed very good, and we test fitted it in my brothers camaro and it fits in very tight and the sub cant be seen when the hatch is closed, which is why i wanted it so no one would steal my shit

I like the Arc 10 and the JL 10w3 myself. I currently have 2 10w3's in my C5 with a JL HD 750.1 supplying the power.


I also have Hybrid Audio Imagine that is a great option as well.

Would the jl sub be a direct fit in an old mtx dr. side box?

Just received mine today, looks like a real nice piece!

IMO the build quality is superior to my old Subthump box. It also fits in my car better.

I test fit my Infinity Kappa Perfect 10 and it fits. Planning to change out to a Massive Audio TW-10, so I'll have to see if that fits. The Infinity is a pretty large sub though.

I guess you just cut out the plastic area. How does this mount in there with the Antenna stuff?

Yes cut the plastic and the antenna isn't the issue it's the spare tire and jack that have to come out.

The Kenwood one is not bad. I just have not messed with to many to give you the honest feedback. I installed one the other day in a C5 and it sounded nice.

I kinda want to get one with the JL Audio sub (4ohm, Polk 880 amp, so that way I can get a second in the future), but the thing is I really want the passenger side too and I'm not sure if it will be a downgrade from my Type R 12" in a big sealed box.

Holy SHIT this box hits hard!! :D Got the amps dialed in/ball parked today.. Mother of god! Haven't seen my mirrors move that much since........ ever....... :metal:

But DD: You gotta switch the terminals out. Installed the box in last week and my negative wire just fell out. Luckily I've got skinny arms so I can reach around the back and plug it back in. See if you can get the screw or spring posts instead.

Yeah I never use the terminals on any of the boxes. I just drill a small hole in the box and wire directly to the sub then seal around the wire. In any kind of wiring I try to eliminate as many connections as I can.

Just placed my first order with Double D for the 6.5" DVC Bazooka's. I've read here that some vehicles need a 1/2" spacer to fit correctly... Any input on that?

Also, any suggestions on a budget front component speakers replacement for my 2000 WS6? Head unit is going to be a JVC - cant recall which model number but it has a 24 bit burr brown dac. Was hoping to keep the stock amp/wiring in place.

I dont have the passenger side available yet but they are coming.

there is alot of power at 2ohms with that amp
If you go 2 ohms you will have to be carefull untill you added the second 2 ohm sub then wire both dvc 2 ohm subs for 2 ohm

still going to be alot.
750 at 2ohm is all I am using with my 2 ARC10's with my JL HD 750/1 and its plenty so even if you go 4 ohm at 750 with your amp its going to be nice

We have 500 passenger side boxes on order and once they get here they will be available. They will be matching to the driver side.

Sounds great, just got paid today! Would a Kenwood XW10 complement my interior speakers? I listen to a wide range of music, but mostly electronic/house (with bass) and rock/heavy metal.

I was also considering JL Audios (I currently have a dual 12" box in my trunk, with 2 JL Audios that are bad because of water damage. :( ).
