02 camaro ss bone stock 50,000 miles on her. My buddy just bought a new 5.0 mustang and that bitch is fast! I wanna know how to make this guy eat my dust and show him what the chevy is all about!! I already bought the slp lid but havent installed it yet, and now I want to buy THE corsa catback exhaust and kooks longtube headers. WHAT YOU GUYS THINK??

Auto or 6 speed? Full exhaust and a aftermarket cam will do. If its a auto a higher stall will help a lot.

with that low mileage i would do a nice head/cam combo with headers and maybe a 3200 stall and call it a day.

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. The cheap/easy way would be 100 shot and tune.

Lid / Full exhaust / Cam should do it.

Stall, lid, headers and a catback should get him....

Gears and long tubes with that lid and the catback....it shouldn't be that much faster. 4.8 0-60 with an expert driver.

Are you getting traction? And are u talking drag race or from a roll

I was thinking about gears but dont know to much about them. What kind of gears does a automatic stock 02 SS have? And which gears would be best for my car with out totally killing the mpg

after i put my 3600 stall and new tranny i get nooo traction haha so make sure you do some suspension upgrades like LCA and a panhard bar

full exhaust, stall and tires should get you there. but to be extra sure with some over kill. slap a cam into it  as everyone said it shouldnt be that hard to beat..

Gears don't do a lot for an auto.

A stall and good tires should be your highest priority, nothing else you can do will make as much difference. 3200 minimum.

Headers/exhaust, and a cam would really get the job done.

Good luck, they're quick with a good driver.

They can have either 2.73 or 3.23, I believe gu5 is the option code for 3.23. But I wouldn't screw with swapping gears

Doesn't take much to beat a stock 5.0 in a fbody. Bolt ons will do it.. Sticky tires if you go from a dig but just depends how much you willing to spend and how bad you want to beat him

From what I hear the engine is down graded so it isn't in competition with the shiny vette but idk. I think a tune would wake a stock camaro up a bit.

there is no difference its just a marketing gimmick a ls1 fbody will dyno the same if not a little more thanks to the solid axle next to a vette
