Default 1992 Z28 Camaro LSX TC78 Turbo Build

Hey guys I posted over on thirdgen.org and in the forced induction section but this is probably a more appropriate place. Heres a run down. Its a 1992 Z28 Heritage Edition that came equiped with an auto/350 tpi. Got bored with the procharged 383 so figured it was about time for something else...

-2005 5.3L bored to 3.905
-Speed Inc TU1 Cam
-Compstar Rods
-Weisco -11cc pistons
-Milled 317 Heads
-Trunion Upgrade
-Headstuds/main studs
-stock crank
-LS6 Oilpump
-Double roller Chain
-Ls6 Intake
-60lb/hr Injectors
ect ect..

I am planning to have this done by fall 2012 (yea right). Right now its competely stripped getting painted so I've been working on building the engine. Its also going to keep a/c and all creature comforts and then some.. Heres some pics.

So I did a lot of research on how most thirdgens are running all there Hot Pipes, Most have turbos mounted passenger front with downpipe running down passenger side and exiting by the a/c box (no a/c)... well I cant have that it gets hot! I work in the heat enough! So I used a custom made passenger side manifold (built by me) made of a 1/2 flange and sch40 pipe. Driver is a passenger truck manifold with V-band welded on. I used a custom a/c bracket/compressor to mount up high on passenger side to clear downpipe/hot pipe. Turbo is mounted between Radiator/Water Pump. I'll be using 2 Derale Pusher fans mounted in front of condenser. The bumper has been notched and boxed for the Intercooler and nose has been opened up so its known its inercooled.

Thanks SpikeZ. Means a lot from a person that is building such a sweet car. Here's some more pics. I'm just waiting in the oilpan right now and the engine will be complete. Its getting a -10 fitting welded for the turbo oil drain. I also pulled the tubes for the heater core out of the water pump, drilled and tapped them for some 90's to clear the down pipe.

A little update, I started my 4L80e shift kit install and dropped a ball in the case oops.. After seeing black soot in the accumulators/ valve body I figured some clutch material got a little hot. So *** it, rebuild time. Its all tore down waiting on rebuild kit. Picked up a A/C Delco rebuild kit and some new steels for the direct clutch(the one that got hot). I'll be posting pics on rebuild soon. Also got my car back from paint. YAY! Almost been a year! After I assemble time for a little color sanding and buffing to make it like a mirror. I'll start assembly on that when I get home from my 2 weeks on. Let the paint bake a little. I'm gonna drop everything out from under it and coat it with bedliner. Probably Herculiner. May as well do it 100% right?

Thanks, No real updates. Just putting sound deadner in the car and was going back together with my 4L80e and found that the Intermidiate sprag was bad! So waiting on a 34 element one. Story of my life...

i don't understand why you painted it blue....

Painted blue???

Thanks guys! Hopefully my next days off I'll have all my ducks in a row to get some stuff knocked out. I'm shooting for Transmission built, Engine and trans installed. Transmission Crossmember build and patch the rear wheel wells where I cut out bump stops to clear my wheels. And appernently the sprag was "Rolled" and I need to replace drum as well. So gonna order that tonight. Sure am learning a lot about the 4l80e trans!
