Well so far I have not beat my old NA PB since I have done a lot of other changes and seem to be going backwards but did see some new best 60fts

You question can't be answered. How good can you drive a stick? Someone like Ronnie Sox could beat the automatic every time. Others Sunday shift, fry tires, miss shifts and would lose every time.

Depends on what you want to accomplish. IMO, manual for street fun. Auto for drag racing. You can't beat an auto that is stalled and geared properly.

Honestly over the years the car has become a track only car unless their is a wise ass that's talking some junk then I bring it out for a little street duty but other than that it is a track only car. The bet th car has gone with a stick is 11.63 on motor I hoping I can get with in a tenth of that but judging by the respondes I might wishfull thinking, what do yu guys think?

With the right converter it may be quicker. Depends on how much traction you have. In any event the auto should be more consistent.

Well that makes me feel better because I had a converte custom made for my particular set up.

like stated above, depends on the combo, how well you can actually drive a manual, and most importantly the converter. PTC, Circle D, FTI, and Ultimate converter concepts are great companies to go for (dont just get a generic one off the shelf)

Did you already buy the TH350? I don't know if their is a particular reason you want the TH350, but a TH400 would be a better choice to start from scratch with.

I know of a couple single digit th350's that have held up no problem to the abuse of nitrous and FI:drive:
So I think for what he is doing a th350 would be okay but that's just my opinion.
The only reason I have a th400 is because that's what I had laying around. The one difference I can say between the t56 and A3 is consistency favors the A3 if setup properly

Yeah I don't feel the need to run 400 and loose more power when my father in law is run 8:80s through a th350. I never understood the people who put a 400 in there 10 second car.
