Default Aeromotive fuel regulator question need a little info

I'm runnig an Aeromotive A1000 Regulator with a fuel pressure gauge on the regulator and I'm not showing pressure. I don' have the vacume line hooked up yet, Is that why it's not showing pressure? I have fuel and the car is running.

The vac line won't make the gauge flaky.
The vac line is used if you have the IFR tuned to a single value.
If the IFR is a calculated/rising value, the vac line port is left open.

Sounds like a flaky gauge. Is it one of the silver dollar sized units??

The guage is showing pressure now after fixing leaks, but no I show 42lbs at idle and pressure drop when you give it throttle! I do need new injector o rings.
