Default lss shifter

who has it? do you like it? Yes I have searched and just have found "what shifter" threads. Im looking for specific info on this one. The stock shifter sucks (06 GTO) as you all know, I don't mind "rubbery" part but just hate the long throws. I used to have an 05 mustang and I think the GTO shifter is less rubbery but the throws are longer. Had a hurst in the mustang and really liked it, but sounds like the MGW-P is a good choice for GTO's.

i have a lss threaded, I wanted to change the shift ****. The throws are the same, it just feels more solid. Just buy the mgw, you would be far more happier.

I just got the JHP Pro Billet shifter. $499 was more than I wanted to spend but it's worth it. Apparently, Hurst & B&M have a wide spread breakage problem. The best shifters for us, from worst to greatest are

B&M, LSS, Hurst, GMM Street/Race, Pro Billet = MGW-P

Pics of it in there ^

to the OP, do your self a favor and get a MGW-P.
ive had mine installed for about 2 weeks and love it.. its price is worth it, cheaper than all other short shifters ive seen and its a great shifter overall. And the height is adjustable by about 1" on these shifters as well.

heres what i got..
shifter ball cost xtra.

I have the LSS to fit the factory ****. Greatest single improvement/$ I have ever spent. I could not see spending $$$ on a good shifter when 99.9% of my shifting is on the street. If I raced it regularly, then it would be worth it(to me)
Just try one. its an easy install and if you want better, just sell it. They sell quick.

I ended up just saying F*** it and just ordered the MGW-P a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it gets here soon.

You won't regret it. As much shifting as anyone does it's one of those mods that you always get to feel the improvement on. Just make sure you get a good RTV seal when you drop it on.
