Sorry I'm on the dark side now but I'm still a Lsx guy at heart.

i may possibly get down there, got an appointment on that saturday and thats the only day that would work out(really pisses me off messing up my plans to go), but maybe ill be there like friday night or later saturday. I'll have to see how things go.

i will for sure be attending. i look forward to it every year. we should plan a place and time to all meet

There is a burnout contest at one of the bars i think too. The car show is alot of old cars that are all restored, but if you just sit by the street there's a lot of nice vehicles driving around town too. Definitely a fun time.

I'll be there with a group of guys from town. Quite a few different cars tho. My buddy has an 02 SS and theres gonna be a 350Z, a quick ralliart, a talon, a cobra, a fast civic, a GTM and a few other cars. Should be a good time hopefully I'll see some of you guys there!

I'm in Milwaukee, we should all plan a get together and drive-up for anyone in the area or on the way there. I'll talk to the guys in my club about coming up, we got around 10 guys that might be interested.. (Unikmuscle)

Yeah mines a 93, the bastard LT1 w/ speed density lol... I've got a good tune from Solomon in it, but I know I'd pick up some hp/tq on a dyno tune and i'd get to see what i'm putting down as well.... They said they would be able to tune it, they had 1 guy with a lot of lt1/speed density experience supposedly, but idk.

Time to kick it into OD and get the rest of my car finished so I can roll up to Automotion in style hehe :) Gotta wet sand/buff the whole car, put the rest of my interior panels in, and install the speakers/wire/subs/amps.

Im heading down there for the weekend.

Bringing the typhoon, gotta test out the winter mods. Meeting up with a GN guy as well.

Ill be there with my Camaro, along with quite a few other cars. We drive down from Green Bay every year, and as pwrtrip75 mentioned there is always some good street action at night. Ill be bringing down a set of slicks, vht, and a couple bottles of n20 for such an occasion.
The burnouts at the edge o dells bar are pretty fun for a little while, but the racing is where its at. We usually dont even make it to the actual car show.
Last year we met up by the big wooden tojan horse, its a huge lot with plenty of room. If everyone is good with that we should plan on meeting there at 3:00 on Sat. afternoon. By then we should have a good idea where the races will be going down.

I just bought an '02 SOM T/A so i may be heading down there with that or my hawk, not really sure yet. Where do they do the burnouts now? I havent been there for a few years now, back when they used to do the burnouts right on the main drag, but i know they don't allow that anymore. Also, never heard of any racing that goes on. I must miss out on everything

The problem with telling everyone where the races are going to be is that the word seems to spread to too many people, and it ends up drawing unwanted attention from the police. Last year we were able to race for quite a while on Friday night, but by Sat. word spread, and there was atleast 100 + cars that showed up, yet only a handfull were there to race. Subsequently a cop broke everything up. Its easy to spot a train of cars over a mile long leaving town. So this year needs to be better organized.
We have a few spots lined up that we will prob hit up. Any of you guys that are interested in burning some tires up, or donating a burnout or 2 will be much appreciated. I am going to be bringing some vht down with me and we will need some rubber laid down on the road before it gets sprayed with the vht. There are a couple single digit awd cars that I plan on racing, and Im going to need a good launching pad.

Marley's is a good place to go. Its kind of out of town now. There's a new nightclub, i believe called Wett...never been there but its the old marley's location. Nig's is also a decent bar from what i remember

I should be out cruising sat night, grab a burger and beer at Monkeys. No street racing, its fun but the crowd and lack of traction on the street makes it hassle.

What the fuck, J??? The GN gets love, but my rides dont?? :bs: Find your own room to stay in! LOL. I don't think the GN is gonna make it this year...he will be piloting the Monte, or towing the Bu with the Denali.

Meh...the new Marleys is ok. Was there a few weeks ago...pretty "dark". I was also told by a local bartender that Wett was a waste of time. Maybe during Automotion it will bring a different crowd? :burn:

That's a really good point. I went to the burnouts last year, but didnt stay for the end. What time does it actually wrap up?
By that time we should have a better idea where that evenings races will be held.

not sure when they ended. i left early too but would like to stay for the whole burnout shindig this year so im good with meeting up after. went to wett last summer and it was your average dance/nightclub. not much into that whole thing anyway

I can't wait!! As for the LS1tech meet, would a time before the burnouts work better for people? Maybe around 11:00am? That should give the guys that are driving in Sat. enough time to get there, and it should give the guys like myself who will be drinking all Friday night, time to get over a hangover. Only 2.5 weeks to go!!! I cant believe how fast time is going by. My car is still in a ton of pieces, but it WILL be ready to go by then. I need to get the suspension dialed in better for hooking on the street, and tune for a little more n20;)
Our group tends to hang out in the parking lot near the large trojan horse. Anyone that is interested in racing, or going to the spot and laying down some rubber should go to that parking lot Sat. night and there should be more details about when and where.

Yeah apparently we have another member with a TA that I wasn't aware of. Why will dude go around talking about UnikMuscle cruises that he supposedly went on when no executive or member knows who he is. We don't let just anybody into the club.

Anyway I'm looking forward to cruising to Automation on Saturday. We should probably find some country roads all the way up there. That might be more fun than catching the hwy all the way up there.

We should be getting down there about 7 pm on Friday. Im guessing that we will prob. take a ride down the main drag, and then hang out by the wooden horse for a little while. Then back to the hotel for a few pre bar drinks, then off to Marleys. Hopfully we can find an after bar party to carry on to. Sat. after the burnouts we will prob be up by the horse again and organize the races for that evening.
Loaded up the slicks, track bite, methanol, and pump sprayers last night. Hopfully we can get the street hooking really good.

We got a huge caravan of cars, trucks, and trailers leaving Janesville at 2 today. :D

nice. fastGBcamaro, sorry we didnt meet up with you guys for the races. we realized the campground we were staying at had gates that closed at like 1 and you were talking about heading out at midnight so it would have been pointless for us. next year though!

No prob. you didnt miss much. Got out to the spot and heard on the scanners that the police were called and were heading out to find us. After that a good portion of the group decided to just go back in town and start drinking. A few of us still found some open roads for some street action, but def. not like years in the past. Still had a good time, but we need to rethink how/ where we race. Might have to just make more runs on the interstate in small groups.

It was still great meeting a bunch of people from the forum. Next year we need more LS1tech members to show up.

I think I saw a few of you at trojin horse, but the town was so busy and after sitting in traffic for 45 minutes idling, I just wanted to get the hell out of town. Turbo+ hotside under hood and sitting that long....underhood was like and oven

Definitely a fun time, no doubt. The night-time cruising was not nearly as fun/busy as it's been in the past, which bums me out. We did more drinking at the hotel than anything...my malibu didn't like idling in traffic too much either.
The burnouts were a good time though...other than the clusterfuck of a parking situation.

I had a blast. It was super packed up there. Lots of cops though. I turned my car up a bit hoping for some good races, Had one 60mph roll race w/ a Supra and lifted a head :) It was quite fun though so I dont care... :cool:

yeah, the mess of a parking situation at the burnout thing sucked, I ended up missing everything because of it. But I'm super glad I went...I can't believe I never went before. The sheer amount of automotive awesomeness there was overwhelming.

A bunch of friends went and seen the burnout thing... I think if you seen one you seen them all, not much of a spectator thing. I walked around the strip and did some sight seeing during the day... didnt want to drive in the gridlocked traffic and 90 degree heat. Got to see a lot of "appropriately" dress women and some cool cars cruising... way cooler than doing donuts and burnouts in a parking lot :D

Ive been going to the burnouts at the edge o dells for the past couple years, and I share the same opinion as pwrtrip, if you've seen one you've seen them all. We watched for about an hour then left. I couldnt believe the amount of traffic heading to the burnouts on our way out. The $5 parking should have come with a free car wash afterwards. Next year Im skipping the burnouts and going straight to cruizin chubbys.
