Midwestern Members - -- 5th Annual Purdue Spring Cruise --

Hi Everyone!

It's about that time again, and the weather couldn't be nicer. The details for the 5th Annual Purdue Cruise are as follows:

Starting Time: 2:30 pm
Cruise Date: April 22nd
Starting Location: The Meijer in Lafayette, In off of SR 26.
Ending Location: Columbia Park
Route: TBD...plan for an hour and a half or so...

At the end of the cruise, we will have a short grill out with hot dogs, pop, chips, etc.

Please come and join us! Post up if you're coming...and if you are bringing anything to the cook out, let me know!

Yes, that is Grand Prix weekend but this cruise is scheduled on a Sunday so plenty of time to recover from the days previous festivities :)

my job finishes in evansville on the 20th I think. I plan on driving to NE Ohio and picking up the vette and immediately taking that to Purdue to make this cruise!

I really wanted to come to this last year, but had something going on with school. I'd really like to come this year, but again the problem will be getting home, driving the car up here, driving the car back home, then driving back up to school since I live like almost two hours south in Indy and I don't have my car up here. I think I may be going down to Indy the night before anyways to go watch a pacers game though, so it may work out. Not sure if cobras are invited though? Haha

It looks like the weather for Sunday is sunny and high 50's. Motors should run good with those temps. Whats the count on how many people we got going?

Depending on the weather, I will be there, might not make the full cruise because of my fuel mileage issue. I will most certainly be there to talk to everybody...

Unless you're getting two to three miles per gallon, the distance shouldn't be an issue. I am not sure the mileage, but it's not more than fifty miles. Don't quote me on this though!

I was very happy with how my little 5.7L did though, you've got a sick ride. Maybe next time I'll remember to have TC off and we can have another go.

That cruise definitely cemented my love for my Z06 though, so much fun to drive.

I had a great cruise and it was fun seeing some of the usual suspects while also meeting some new ones.

My friends had a great time riding too - thanks to those who provided seats!!

hey john deere racer, I see that you have your 6.2L Silverado with forced induction. I have a 2010 Silverado Z71 6.2L and was looking into putting a maggie on it. How do you like it? Any issues?

Any events going on this weekend? I'll be in Lafayette visiting my girlfriend's family from Saturday to Thursday so i'd like to find some cruises or shows to attend while i'm down there. If you know of any events taking place on one of those days, please let me know.

Also, if anybody just wants to get a couple cars together and cruise the countryside, i'll be up for that as well.
