What issue has brought you to suspect the rear strut mount.

i have a clunk from the right rear. its a hard hitting clunk over larger holes/ bumps. the strut looks dry so i assume it is ok.

not sure how or if it helps but your tires have a good amount of how it rides. my tires run at 52lbs and its a really rough ride on shitty roads.

Before you purchase the part I would take an hour of your time and test the affected side. Jack the car up and pull the rim off, reach up and grab the strut and try to move it up and down and side to side to see if there's play in the bearing. If not that may not be your issue. It could be the strut starting to go.

I actually know the answer to this one. After chasing the same thing for a couple of years and taking the suspension apart--The bilstein strut seals stick and the noise comes through like a thump. A shot of WD-40 up inside the strut boot will quiet it down for a while. Graphite based chain lubricant works better.

ill give that a try gtostan hopefully it takes care of it, id rather spend money on the electric cutout than a strut mount!
