I had to drive the SS to work one night last winter. Finished up in the middle of the night. Car was covered in snow.
Turns out the front of the door was frozen in ice. I didn't know this till it was too late. When I opened the door the bottom front corner broke off.
2000 SS. How hard is this going to be to fix?

Honestly if it was my car, I would just buy a new door and have it painted.

I don't doubt that but I don't think it will hold up.

Is there a door skin or just a whole door?

I would want to get another door off a car of the same color and year. Then have it paint matched and blended.

why would you want the same color and year? its the same door for all the 4th gens and eather way you have to spray it
are u good at filler?
if not get a new door. i would fix that door. and the doors are made out of smc ( sheet model compound, thats fiberglass put in a mold) so there no skins
if you buy a new door get a oem used one (NO AFTERMARKET) and have it match and blended on ajesent panels
i would be pissed of but that life.
and if you were to fix it and do it right it will hold for a long long time.

The door is just fiberglass. Done right a repair would hold up just fine.
