Default First drive of Spring! WooHoo!!

Just had to share, cuz it's been such a long road to get it here....

Well, FINALLY a beautiful, near-perfect day to go for a drive I still have a lot left to sort out on the car, but was able to take some pics today over in TMoney's neck of the woods. It felt good to be behind the wheel of it, rather than turning wrenches on it. I've only been able to log roughly 1k miles on this car over the past 4-5 years....200 of that was today. As soon as the Miata is back on the road, this one will be completed The hood was not lined up correctly in the new pics, but I was able to make it right this evening. Still a bit buggy, but here it is.....

Last year....

Today....

Love the wheels. Don't let me near them because they might end up on my bird! Good looking car man.

Thanks guys. It's been a long friggin' time comin'....and there's still a bit more to do. But it looks like I should finally have it finished in the next 2-3 months at most. Tires are M/T 26x12 in the rear...probably gonna go a little wider on the next pair if I can find something that looks good. I had a set of M&H Racemaster 345/35/18's on it...and they'll work fine for the track....but was a little too much for the street. They are for sale, BTW...never used! LOL

Will do. Not sure when that will be, but he's gonna be doing an engine swap soon...so who knows....

Yeah, these are normally $3500....but I got a deal through True Forged. They are a 3-piece wheel, and came in at $2700+ on a promo deal through them. They're called "Competition", and are the first set produced ever, AFAIK. Certainly, the first set ever on an Fbody. We had some issues with the fronts (wrong back cut), but they're good to go now. The rears are back-cut wrong as well, but I've decided to live with it for now....they could be an easy 1" deeper on the rears. I'm thinking that I'll probably order another pair for the rears, and use the current ones for slicks

All-in-all, it didn't turn out too bad....and they're a bit less expensive than Fikse wheels.
