Default Should I modify my TSP off road y pipe?

I have the newer version of the TSP y pipe with the better merge, and i am wondering if any one here has cut off the 2 1/2 out and replaced it with 3 inch piping, and if its worth it or not to do so. I have a three inch Spintech cat-back so I'm thinking it be better to do so, but if there wont be any loss in power i will just leave it the way it is.

3-3-3 will not flow any better than 2.5-2.5-3

I have. Just did it this month, as a matter of fact.

Good stuff in my thread here.

And yes, 3-3 to 3 will flow much better than 3-3 to 2.75.

TSP ORY doesn't end in a 3" merge? Damn that's deceptive as hell they need to change their description on their website.

I kinda like the options, myself, as weird as that sounds.

Out of the box you have the capability to use it with the stock catback, 2.75"

You can also cut it off wherever you need to, since it is tapered smaller towards the exit, and weld on a 3", 3.5" or even a 4" exit pipe on it if you have a different sized catback.

It's definately an added bonus, and I don't think they intended it when it was designed, but in all actuality its VERY easy to change the exit size.

The way you put it is awesome and they should advertise it that way so some guy doesn't end up slapping on on his daily driver at 2am thinking its the same size as his 3" catback... Only to find out he has to break out the welder and sawzall and hope to god he can find some 3" tubing in his scrap metal closet. LOL

Correct... the 2 legs of the Y are a full 3"

Its the exit of the merge that is necked down to 2.75

Funny thing is, both my old magnaflow and even my MagnaMouth had catback entrances that are 2.75. That's why they mate to the stock Y so easy.
