Pontiac G8 2008-2010 - Picked it up!

Finally picked up a 2009 Stryker Blue G8 GT with 25,000 miles on it. It had everything we wanted except moonroof, which we will have put in.
Trying to decide on exhaust right now. Either going x pipe with axleback or starting off with headers, HFC's and x-pipe with stock axleback for now.
Wicht Camaro wheels (20's) fit? Is it the smaller fronts or just a standard set of front/rears from a Camaro.
Here it is as we were picking it up.

I would skip out on adding the moon roof but nice find and congrats!

We had one installed in our Traverse and did not have any issues. We were going to have the same company install one in the G8. The wife insist on it as it is her primary vehicle for now.
We tried to find a low mileage, CLEAN, SBM G8 GT with a factory roof and it was near impossible. We missed out on one in Kentucky and got this one for a good price.

Interesting how some people "must" have a sunroof. My wife insisted on it when we bought her G6 new -- she never uses it. I told her we're not getting it on the next car - anymore, it's usually a $1000 option.
Anyway, enough sunroof talk...
Gorgeous car! It matches the T/A -- time for some driveway pictures!

I picked up my SBM in January. I love it. Mine doesn't have a sunroof either but it doesn't bother me! Congrats!!

Very nice! I'd do headers,HFC, X first.

The car will be worth a lot more if it isn't altered.

Congrats on the purchase.
Rumor I heard is that Stryker Blue G8's are the fastest, but it's just a rumor.

I would drive this car for quite awhile first before spending big money on things like a sunroof. You don't want to do that if the car ends up having constant issues plus it may make it harder to resell.
Stryker is one of the top tier colors for the G8, congrats.

Nice car! If you mod it, I'd say headers first, out of your choices. It's not loud at all if you just use the stock axlebacks.

Nice car (I'm alittle partial). Get yourself a nice CAI and exhaust, you won't regret it.

Thanks guys, I am pretty excited about getting it. So far with mods, I just want exhaust, intake and tune. Later down the road, I will do the DOD delete. We bought it to enjoy and I think we will def. be enjoying it.
Nothing like having 2 rare blue colored Pontiacs.:)

My wife insisted on a sunroof too. Hopefully your aftermarket one will be better than the factory version. The deflector creates a huge amount of noise and it's unsatisfactory compared to the one on our old 99 Lexus ES. Oh, and congrats on the purchase. Hope you enjoy the car!

Funny that you mention that b/c I have read/heard better reviews from the aftermarket moonroofs than the factory one. That is what made me go ahead and get this G8 with the low miles.

Nice car man. It looks like I may be picking up a silver gt this weekend. Im trading my tacoma and impala ss on it and financing 11 on top of that. I really wish i could have found one with SBM but this one has all the options with 27k miles and I guess silver isnt that bad.

That's a sharp looking G8 you got there. I just installed Solo axlebacks and they sound great. They're not too loud but have a good muscle car sound. Next I want to install Kooks mid length headers that come with high flow cats. That should allow the motor to breathe better plus make it slightly louder since the factory cats are restrictive. Enjoy your new ride!

Nice pick up. I miss my SBM G8 all the time. Definitely go with headers, intake, and tune first. That will make it sound nice and it will be way more fun to drive.

SBM G8's are the fastest but I have a biased opinion :D
Oh, VMR v710's in hyper silver are THE BEST rims for this car....

Hey Rocket, killer G8. Also, we might be seeing you soon as we are planning on moving to the Pensacola area in a couple of months. Wife wants to go to Pace or Navarre. I am trying to secure employment before the wife's employer relocates us.

Highly recommend Navarre over Pace as it will put you fairly close to Destin and there is a lot more to do. If you don't own a boat or know someone that does, drinking and smoking are the most fun you will have out here LOL.
