Was run on Dynojet 248

Setup as follows:

11.4:1 Compression
TFS 235cc heads ported by TEA
247/251 .624/.624 112LSA CAM
FAST 92/92
1 7/8" Headers into 4" single exit exhaust
T56
In a Mazda RX7

Made 499rwhp/446rwrq on a Mustang Dyno couple months back. Nothing major changed.

On my first run which isn't shown, car either spun or clutch slipped. I had paint off the dyno rollers on my tires though. 2nd run did too a little as you can see.

Here's a run on the dyno. Disregard the title.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I went to the track last year on street tires and about 460rwhp. Was spinning all the way down the track. Best was a 12.7@124mph lol

mamofied fast 102, mamofied afr's (already have afr 205's milled to 59cc), custom spec'd cam, revamping exhaust, one hell of a tune, and a few things to free hp UDP, EWP if needed. figure hell if 346 guys can push out 520 whp on a 10 bolt then i can do 500 with a 12 bolt.

Congrats man car/numbers looks great.

OP ... looks much better than the twin turbo rotary it replaced and I love the blue! Don't you love the torque ... there is nothing better than 500 ft-lbs at the rear wheels!

taman86 .... you may get 500 rwhp, but not 500rwtq without the cubes unless you put it on the bottle or boost.

FYI .... my numbers are based on the SAE correction factor with a smoothing factor of 3.

Yep, I am chasing traction issues right now. As soon as these stock shocks come off, I should be good to go ... Strange DA coilovers are on the way.

There is no hope for traction issues on street for me though.

ya i wasnt expecting anything close to 500 rwtq, hoping around 450ish though. plus i am in the process of buying a 12 bolt with 4.10 gears. yes stock bottom end, C/R is around 11.7 if i remember correctly. lol, still in the process of buying the car but have plans for it.

What the corrected number to give me an idea?

Never got any corrected numbers from them. This was just a local dyno day I decided to show up to. I made the most power out of 20 cars there.

If you were to go to an actual shop that used SAE correction you would probably get right around 500rwhp which is believable with the topend you have.

I am just curious about your opinion .... why is 500 rwhp so "believable with the topend [he] has"?

I am making that power (SAE corrected) with a smaller head (bore & intake runner volume) (both CNC'd, but his ported), smaller valves, smaller tube headers, smaller cam, smaller intake and smaller throttle body.

No. I would get more. I made 499rwhp on Slowhawk's Mustang dyno. As you know, Mustang dynos read lower than dynojet.

I would think 520rwhp or so.

The #'s are very good. Pretty sure he runs 4.11 gears which definitely hurt dyno numbers.

I have 3.90s which isn't too far off.

I was expecting about 520rwhp or so. On my last years setup I made 440rwhp on your dyno and 460rwhp on Corvette Center's dynojet.

You got any track times from your car.. I have a 403ci LS2 with the same heads but I had a little custom head work done and put in bigger valves..
First pass off the trailer it went 10.39@129mph. I've since installed the rear antiroll and I'm taking it back to the track this weekend to see what sort of 60fts I can get now.. My 60ft on the stock anti roll was 1.41 and my car weighs in at 3540..

We do a little street racing around here and I have prepped the street with some pimp juice and have lifted the tires on the street already.. I out launched a low 10 second AWD eagle talon on the street pulling the tires about 2 feet.. lol.. But like I said I do have full suspension on my car..

I have since installed my rear BMR extream anti roll in the rear and looking forward to lowering my 60ft from 1.41 to about 1.36-1.38.. This should bring me into the 10.2X's.. Even our cam size is close.. 246/255-632/645@114+2LSA Whats your intake valve size?

My "traction issues on the street" was just a general comment about my (or any) street tires not having traction. I don't nor do I choose to do any street racing ... those days are waaaay over for me. I have too much to lose now ... !

That is a great time ... with my mph, I am hoping to be in the 6's with the shocks, 2-Step and line lock. The line lock is sitting in the garage, rear coil overs came in today and the 2-Step was shipped today. Look for another post when I shake it down again. What kind of power are you putting down with the A4?

The A4 is a little faster than my tranny.. I have a th350.. With the 4L60E and my suspension I would be cutting low 1.3X or high 1.2X 60ft.. (with the last motor I was cutting 1.46 60ft with the 4L60E and then started cutting 1.52 60ft when I swapped to the th350) Not sure how much power it's putting down. The day it was tuned there was nothing but a quart of tranny fluid in the transmission and it dynoed 450rwhp with the slipping tranny and a 5000rpm stall.. First pass at the track I was blowing through the converter and ran out of gear before the 300ft mark.. LOL Then I added the right amount of fluid and ran the 10.39@129mph..

I'm still rocking a Mazda rear with road race suspension, I'll be lucky if I cut a 1.6sec 60foot lol

Those times were on mid 1.5 60's. I was geared really tall for nitrous which really hurt the car when running NA on the short end and didn't get me in the RPM's I needed crossing the traps. My valve size was stock TFS235 which is 2.08in/1.60ex.

Here are the dyno runs for the 402. Lower numbers are the LS3 heads, higher numbers are the trick flows.

Pretty crazy how similar the dyno results are. Except at 5k I'm making about 30rwhp more and I hit 500rwhp earlier, but that could be due to my numbers being uncorrected. Also a bit more torque in the higher rpm range.

I notice a dip around the 3800rpm mark on the torque table on most dyno sheets, what is that?
