Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - Hood question

Hi, I tried to search the forums unsuccessfully. I was wondering what are some ways to identify if your TA has an aftermarket hood?

Stock hoods are 3" right? So by theory if its taller than that then its aftermarket, right? Where do you measure, the windshield side or the nostrils?

where did you get the 3inch height idea? T/A came with a ws6 hood you can search for pics to see if it matches or not

a aftermarket ram air hood can be spotted a mile away........the stock has very CRISP lines around the nostrils......aftermarket has rounded and dull lines or no lines at all
