i have a similar set up, but my axels are not the gun drilled ones, i have a spool with 4.11 and narrowed....mine behaves fine on the street, only thing that might not like the street driving on that set up are the axles other than that hundreds of people dd spooled cars here with no problem, it only takes some use to.

I would say if it's a good price, pick it up! If you don't like the spool, pull it out sell it and get a third member of your choice.

this, i have a detroit locker in one of my cars and i think its even a little rough sometimes. i dont mind it with a dd but i would surely never want a spool. you'll get fast wear on the inner tires and it may behave weird in turns and in the rain. but if its a good deal i say pick it up and just drop a lsd unit in it...

whoever is against driving a spool on the street probably hasnt driven one. It really isnt that bad but I though gun drilled axles can bend easily street driving?

Gun drilled axles are not a smart idea on a street car. As well as the full aluminum center section. Gears will wear faster with this center. When I built my rear end from MWC I asked about these items and that's what MWC said so I avoided those items. I did a thru-bolt aluminum center instead.

The aluminum center will have a bit more deflection which can wear the ring and pinion earlier than a nodular section. Ring and pinions are under 200bucks, and even the ones in that center will last longer than you think. I would scoop that up. If you don't go nuts on the turns (especially a low speed turn where you jump on it hard all of a sudden), you will be fine.
BTW, a spool is fine on the street if you drive responsible in the rain. My old car had a spool and ran high 9's. This car i might be able to squeak in the high 11s this summer and it has a Detroit Locker. The Locker actually feels less friendly on the street than the spool. Go for it..
