just posting up a list of shit i'm about to get rid of and change. car is still going to be street driven so i want to keep some of the safety/comfort stuff. just trying to get an idea of how much is going in and out of the car. input would be awesome.

these figures are copied straight from the sticky:

15 ac comp
8.6 ac cond
3 amp
22 front bumper sup
21 rear bumper sup
5 floor mats
4.4 head unit
7 rear seat belts
28 rear seats
37 spare tire/jack
15 speakers
2 sun visors
14 front sway bar
15 carpet padding
10 seem sealer
19 dry cell batt conv
1 washer fluid pump
3 washer fluid reservoir

=230 lbs

stuff going in the car, not sure on weight(all mild steel):

SFC's, mild steel weld in
LCA's, poly/rod adj
T/A, spohn adj
PHB, poly/rod adj
SPOHN solid mm's...these should be lighter correct?

on the wish list:

weld prostars w/ tires 15x3.5 & 15x8 ~73 lbs savings over stock SS 10 spokes
VFN sunoco pin on ~36 lb savings over stock SS hood

last time i weighed the car was almost 2 years ago, and i can't for the life of me remember how much it was. was full street trim even had jack/tire in the back and GPS/radar up front. car has normal under hood bolt ons, stock susp/everything else. i do remember that it was less than i had expected...probably because i only weighed about 125 lbs 2 years ago.

For a Street car leave the seam sealer in. It does matter but not that much, The thick BLACK rubber matting weighs a great deal. Leave door bars in unless your driving full time a 6 spt cage. Head Unit for radio, put in a plastic delete plate, remove the front speakers w/ rears. (which I see you listed, but def do the plate).

Switch over exhaust to a Duals to a Dump before the axle, if noise is not an issue.

Then look for some $$$ items like K members and upper (less binding), and lowers.

Where are you at in Tx? I have been kicking around the idea of selling my Prostars but don't want the hassle of shipping them. Though mine are 15x3.5 & 15x10.

ok, ill keep the sealer. door bars i planned on keeping too, unless like you said i have a cage with side bars. and yeah i was going to make a gauge panel in place of the head unit. got a nice plx wide band, touch screen gauge that will fit perfect there. as far as exhaust, god i WISH i had my duals back :( but since cops are dicks around my area, and i have previous violations for faulty exhaust equipment, i will be keeping my mufflex system and just adding a DMH 4" e-cutout. i think k-member will be on the list after rear end. i will pray to the 10 bolt gods so lets see how long i stay in their favor.

i'm SE of houston on the water. i'm not sure if i'd want 15x10's out back, would you part with just the fronts? are the tires mounted and in good shape? pm me if you like.

Yea my seam sealer removal took about 8 hours during the winter with a heat gun and putty knife. Lost 6lbs though. Since your ditching the rear seat but a spot weld cutter and get rid I'd the belt brackets and seat brackets and the arm rest back there too. My monsoon amp and wiring was good for about 8lbs and all you really need is the splice into the right front door speakers is all.

I'm pretty sure the Spohn Solid Mounts are 10lb lighter than stock...... Also I didn't see it listed but with the pin-on hood you can get rid of the hood latch, hood hinges and shocks.....that should be a nice weight savings

well for right now i want to be able to return the car back to stock if need be. so i am trying to avoid the hack n' slash stuff(for the most part) so i'm gonna keep the mounting brackets. but who knows how serious i'll get with it later down the road.

that sounds about right for the mm's. and yeah i didn't add in the weight saved from ditching the factory hood hardware, not sure how much that stuff weighs tbh. btw anybody know what the going rate for an SS hood is these days?

pretty sure it's gone already. when i had the cam install done i think they pulled everything out. but if not the motor is about to come out and i will do it then.
