Nitrous Oxide - having a new tune without NOS

I run with the setup now 150 shot (dry) 11.11@ 128MPH
without 11.90@119MPH.whay do you guys think.I want to retune it without NOS by advancing the timing.What do you think i will run.:judge:I have stage 3 H/C from Livernois 440HP to the wheels 398TQ

too tired to calculate LoL I would get a timing controller & keep a n/a tune for drivin around Itll be faster off the bottle & gain fuel milage :) thats a win win Oh & I give you props for runnin 150 DRY LoL Im a newby to nitrous & too scared to run a big dry shot Thats givin sensors to much faith in my book LoL

Tune for N/A then run a box to pull timing in nitrous. 1* of timing is ~2hp is the general consensus so if you 2* of timing pulled for each 50 shot (for wet at least) thats ~6* of timing pulled, so ~12hp you are pulling.

You can have the best of both worlds, run a box that frost gives you and have a seperate tune for nitrous and another for N/A.

what do you mean by "run a box" ..?? Like run/have a separate cumputer for a nitrous tune..?? and the other for the n/a tune..??

Is this possible.?? Just swaping computers depending on the driving mod..??

and if it is... would it matter on the year of the computer you get... or like the tranny Manual or Auto..?

The box could be a timing retard device that you dial how much timing you want to retard when the nitrous is activated. Another one could be a resistor box that tricks the IAT sensor when using a wet shot so the ECU thinks the intake air is hotter and then it pulls timing from a table that need to be adjusted/tricked in the tune for this special purpose.

Look into a Mallory Highfire ignition box with timing control. I use to run one and what I did was had the motor tune set up.....with advanced timing. Then when I activated the nitrous kit the Mallory box would automatically pull timing for whatever I set it to pull. The box is all digital, easy to operate, and only cost around $280. The box also had built in window switches, 2 step, and boost reference.

A box is an ignition box. It controls retard or advance.
