It has the capability to run 10s all day with a good driver, air, and traction.

Low 11's should be a cakewalk.

Once they are out for a bit I am saying 11.8-11.7 on the stock rubber and low 11s on drag radials with mabey a high 10 pass here and there. If you ditch the 20s and go with a 18" drag wheel setup they should have no problem being in the 10s.

My guess would be low 11's with decent air, tires, etc.

I can't wait for the 6th gens to come out, I hope there all I'm expecting them to be.

I believe GM said if you change the tires you won't gain much if any performance, because the suspension is set up specifically for the goodyear F1s.. whether that's true or not (or if you could retune the suspension for the new tires) remains to be seen.

Not sure, probably .2-.5 seconds slower than the GT500.

Not meaning to be sarcastic, I'm just a little bitter GM hasn't pulled weight out of the Camaro yet and keeps letting Ford one up them.

If the heavier, skinnier tire, less advanced suspension CTS-V's can do 11.80's, I'm sure the 12.0 "estimated" 1/4 mile time by GM is a little conservative in the first place for the ZL1. I still stand by the idea that the 2013 GT500 vs. ZL1 will be a driver's race, all biases aside. the current GT500's don't hook for shit as is, and the '13 will be running the same solid axel/tires as the current one...we'll see. I think the 6th gen's will be a vast improvement in the performance department.

To put it in perspective Lingefelter did some testing on their version of the ZL1 with the following mods:

The ZL1 that wore the Lingenfelter banner at the track had minimal modifications. The only underhood upgrades was the LPE was outfitted with were a supercharger pulley to bump up the boost, reflashed ECM, 160-degree thermostat and a LPE ported and polished air intake leading to a K&N air filter. The only other modifications to the car were swapping out the street performance tires for skinnies up front and Nitto NT05R drag radials out back. The exhaust was left completely stock which I think was a huge mistake but probably done to keep this away from getting certified for emmissions.

They ran an 11.2 in this form. So I calculate that with the completely stock ZL1 that you're looking at 11.7's without getting into mods.

Put a full exhaust on this car and 10's are not a problem at all.
