Default 39 lb/hr good for 370

I'm building an LS3 top ended 370. should be around 11.5:1 compression, decent mid 230's -240's cam, full exhaust, TD's etc...

looking to reuse my 39lb injectors from my previous LS1 build if I can. I did the rough calculations on RC's website and it's showing a 39lb injector can handle 500 hp. I know I have seen smaller injectors holding that power or more, so i'm guessing I would be borderline with 39lb injectors with 550-600 hp at the crank. am I correct assuming I would hit 80% or more at that power level or will I be fine with them?

They worked fine in the ls1. What does spray pattern have to do with duty cycle and flow? Is there something I'm missing?

Oh, and they are fatter than stock ls injectors. Just as tall with the correct plug for my ls1 harness but fatter in the body.

So a 39lb injector at stock 58 psi should have no problem?

I'm thinking I'll be borderline, so I'll probably just run with it and see what it is at when I get it tuned and go from there.

you should be fine. N/A you will be fine. If you break the 500hp flywheel mark you will want more injector.

are those 39# injectors rated at 43.5psi?

your rail pressure is 58psi so they are actually 45LB/hr injectors **** IF THEY ARE RATED 39 LB / HR at 43.5psi!!!!!

My friend made 480rwhp approx 520~530 motor hp i would guess on 36lb @43.5psi ... 1.15*36= 41.4 and he was ta 74% duty cycle

Most definitely will call FIC....when I get off 12 hour 3rd's. It's very tough when the rest of the world is running when I'm sleeping.

I actually bought these injectors from them off ebay before they were a sponsor. I have been meaning to call them, but like I said it is tough.

I'm not sure if they are rated at 43 or 58 psi. I'll have to figure that out when I call.

At this point with my schedule so screwed up, I figured I'd throw it up on here to see if I could get a direction.

I do appreciate all the help from everyone and I'll definitely make time to call Thursday afternoon.

message FIC on here, he gets on frequently and can get you the data or info you need. They are likely rated at 43.5psi. Did the Ebay post not say?

Good news....called FIC today and he confirmed they were rated at 43.5 psi. the 39lb injectors at 58psi are around 46lbs/hr. which is more than enough for my engine.

Also, they are being checked and rebuilt under lifetime warranty! did not know they did that but awesome!

big thanks to FIC.
