Bad ass man! When did you jet it for the 150 shot? recently I'm guessing? It's so funny...I remember when you got that thing bone stock, and not the most impressive car on the road. Now it's a freaking animal haha. What are you expecting for a timeslip with that shot? I'd imagine mid to maybe bottom 11's with a good 60ft.

I installed the upgraded solenoids earlier in the week and got it on the dyno yesterday. The car leaves like a turd until the nitrous hits, so the 60' won't be that good. I'll be happy with a high 11 and 118-119 mph out of it.

Couldnt really tell how much you picked up against the Evo but its obvious once i seen the other race!! I honestly thought the V was gonna pull you slightly. That sob u got is running good!! With a 1.7 sixy is say you got mid 11's in the bag.

Thanks, man! I think with some 3.45 gears and a shorter tire I might be able to hit a low 1.8 or even a high 1.7 60' on the nitrous. With the current setup though I'm gonna be in the low 1.9 range I think.

Nice kills. You should get easy 1.7 60fts with spray. As long as have decent prep. I had same mods as you and cut 1.7 on dunlop zr101 275 tires. I had the nitrous delayed. 35 out the whole. Ran a 7.3@96 in the 1/8 in Kentucky in July. Same time ran a stock Z06 at that track and had him by two cars.

With the stock tires my best 60' on motor is 1.95, but with the taller drag radials it was only 2.07. My 60' on the 75 shot was 1.95 or 1.97 (can't remember exactly). Because the nitrous only comes on at the end of the first 60 feet I don't expect much until I get shorter tires and make gears.

Absolutely! The car picked up 33 rwhp with the same jetting by upgrading the solenoids. I'm also running less timing now.

im confused. arent the CTS-V heavier than a G8 are almost the exact same weight? you had him beat in HP and ALOT more tq and just barely won. i figure you would ahve put a few lengths on it.

The V's are supposed to weigh 200 lbs or so more than a G8. I had him on torque, but he makes 20 hp more than me. Also, I have him beat up to about 5200 or 5300 rpm, but after that he makes more power.

keep in mind... its nitrous... he made that power in a one gear pull on the dyno. That was a long race. By the end of that pull, i can guarentee he wasnt making all he made on the dyno. A nano kit would keep constant pressure the entire run.

Those were some fun runs. I don't think the Evo was expecting to get beat that bad. And honestly, with the numbers I had heard rumored before the runs, I didn't think it would be that bad either. The G8 is serious business on that 150 shot, that's for damn sure. The V is just always a beast. :nod:

Me either, I thought it would be a pretty good run. I actually thought he missed a gear after the first run, but he said it was clean.

The car will probably get gears before a converter unless the transmission grenades first, lol. I was planning on doing a cam this year, but I think I've been talked into doing heads too since they have to come off anyway to do the cam. All of the above is on the to-do list :devil:

If the bottle is pretty full and fully up to 950psi, I dont think its losing that much HP. Its not like its a 300hit on a small bottle. But If the bottle is near empty, that might be true.

I have noticed that with this kit it usually makes more power throughout the pull and then drops off slightly (10-15hp or so) up top. I'm not sure if this is due to the pressure dropping slightly or if it's just the nature of a nitrous power curve, but it was the same on my Z28. Either way, everything is working properly, so it's just the way it is.
