Default Gen IV 5.3 LH6, which ON3 for me?

I'm building an 84 RCSB S10, and will be using the 5.3 from my Trailblazer EXT that was in a roll-over, along with a TH350 back to a Ford 8.8 with spool and 3.73's.

799 heads, springs, TU1 cam, LS7 lifters, ARP head bolts.

Truck intake, truck manifolds. Eventually will upgrade to Edelbrock Vic Jr EFI and 4150 TB with hat.

More power the better, but chassis will only be accepted for 9.99. Would like a 10.50 bracket racer. Minimal street use due to solid spool and lack of necessary equipment (lights, turn signals, wipers).

With the 9.9:1 CR, and pump 93, I'm thinking the 70 will work, but seems like a lot of folks running the 5.3 are using the 76. So if I went with a 76, should I get the biggest turbine AR?

I was going to run twins, but after long consideration I'm back to the single bandwagon.

Also interested. Just picked up a 5.3 block. I've seen some on here boast they run constant 15lbs. Thus the reason why I decided to get the 5.3 vs put my brand new stage III Incon TT kit on my stock short block.

What are you planning to use to cool down the air?

Hopefully nothing. If it becomes an issue, I'll run a A2A front mount. This will be a dedicated track truck, and with the short run from turbo to intake, and minimal run times, heat shouldn't be a big problem.

FYI, you got the best 5.3. It'll run. The guys that push the stock shortblocks the farthest are on the GENIV motors. They have the beefier rods are floating vs. pressed

Does anyone see something on my list that they would change?

The JAX04 Guy knows his stuff. Makes me wonder is the 5.3 out of a 02 avalanche is any good 27k miles. What springs are you going with?

Id forget the rings, rod bolts, and rod bearings unless they are hurt. Add an intercooler and run E85 so you dont have to always worry about IAT's and can have more fun just turning up the boost and making power. I would prob go a little higher with the gears too. 3.08-3.42 range.

The motor has 135K miles on it, and smokes on start-ups. I planned to install new valve seals when I swapped springs, pull the heads and have them machined, install new head gaskets and head studs while it was apart. I also have to swap to the H3 oil pan, so I was going to install rod bolts and rod bearings, and weld the oil pick-up tube. And I was going to install new rings, or re-gap the old ones, I see quite a bit of FI guys break ring lands due to ring crash. Just cheap insurance while I've got it opened up. I don't want this to be a throw away motor, since it's technically costing me $8,000. (Cost of the Trailblazer)
