Drag Racing Results - ran my new PB tonight! finally in the nines!

Stock ls2,ls6 intake,stock tb,truck manifold turbo kit with a 88mm precisson. Th400 3500 stall,rmvb braked,9inch 3.40 gears, hoosier 325 drag radails. Full bmr suspension.
Decided to fill my weekend cruiser up and head to the track . First pass out on my low boost setting of 11-12 pounds. First time in the nines! It wheelied pretty hard out he hole so I let off, then I even let off before the finish line sine I was unfamiler with the track.. I turned the boost up and couldn't get it to hook up on the next two runs. Ran 10.1 and 9.9. Car felt strong! I know I got a 9.5 as it sits now and a 9.4 with 2 more pounds of boost. I'm alos looseing up my convertor some to hlp my 60's.
Anyways thanks kyle at bmr for giving me pointers on suspension setup and seling and me the best suspension parts there is. and thanks jeremy formato for all the tuning help.

Damn that thing moves out! Congrats on the 9's man that's just plain awesome. How much boost are you running though that TC78 to get you there?

How much boost have you been pushing it to?
How much do you think the stock longblock will hold and for how long?
I'm not as familiar with the turbo side of things... but I would agree and say a looser converter would help. Most cars I see running your ETs are running high 1.2s- low 1.3s. Heck, my 11 sec car goes 1.4s. I'm running a FTI 4200 stall. How much boost are you building at the line?

Thanks man, I'm peaking 13.8 according to my logs, and 4.5 on my transbrake. Also my stall is a 3800 but with his new turbo (pt88) I can't get pass 3200.
I'm out of injector right now, I only have 80lb at 43.5 injectors running on 75 psi. With e85 they max out right ovr 800whp.
If I had more injector I would just push it till something gives. I'm. Sure I'm close o the limits now though.
They say above 800rwhp you start pushing water,but I retorque my heads evry few times out. Guess is helping. Also ya, if my convertor was a 4200 like yours I would love life. I just want big wheelies off the line! Ain't nothing better than dragging bumpers

I just changed out my tc78, that tc78 was a trooper though. Just it didn't make good power ,I think 574 at 13lbs, where this new pt88 made 720. I went 6.30's at 121 on my tc78,just never a good 1/4 mile time. The tc78 was at full boost before the 60' foot mark. The pt88 is laggyer but man, it screams aboe 10 lbs of boost. Also the tc78 choked the exhaust, its a big difference with a bigger frame biger exhaust turbine.

What innercooler are you running, have you logged a run? I'm confused as to why it's dropping mph on the back half of the track. Seems to be pulling timing, I'd expect you to trap 145 - 146 mph. When you say your converter only goes to 3200, do you mean on the foot brake? What does it go to on the transbrake with no 2 step. Mine used to go 1.37 - 1.39 leaving on 5 psi. Would go to 4600 on the transbrake.

3050lbs with a half tank without me in it.
and i have no boost controller. i just have a tee in the waste gate line and ive been drilling it out to get more boost.

When i get some money ive been expecting im going to be installing a meth kit. always wondered hwo meth would do on a e85 car.
At the 1/4 i think i have to much gear, i went accross the line at 6800rpms, it falls off about 6100 bad. Im not sure why but my boost actually drops about 1.5lbs compared from 5900rpms to 6900rpms. So right now i have a 3.45 rear gear and im thinking ill go to 3.20's soon.
The 3.45 is tits for 1/8mile though. I actually just got a 6.075 last night at 117 on 14 lbs.

That's what I thought. It looked like the car on the right was a Camaro. After watching it full screen I can tell its a trans am too.

No problem Mike, I am finally glad you got a clean pass with the car. We will have to get together and make a trip down to the track and see if we can lower that 60ft times a little bit more.

I need a looser convertor, i cant stall it over 3400 rpms and i can only build 4.5lbs on the line. Im hoping if i loosen my convertor it wont make me loose mph up. Like i hope it wont have more total slip percentage.
But ya heres last night slip, ive gotton faster everytime i take it out.

Mine has the same type of innercooler, at the track they start out around 100 and go to 170 on 15 psi, only made 2 passes like that, only gonna be doing 1/8 mile until I upgrade it. Sounds like you might be getting valve float. I went from 3.42 gear to 3.08 makes the car really streetable, If you do gear it down your stall will be a little looser then it is now.
