Default 98 T/A vs Ford Lightning

The other day I was just cruising on my way to a movie when a ford lightning pulled up next to me and kept goosing the throttle. I was terrified. lol I had never really researched what they were capable of or anything but I figured a supercharged 5.4 would leave me sitting there.

Anyways, we got passed a lot of traffic and went at it from 30, we were even until about 65 then i pulled on him. I'm still excited/shocked about it. lol

nice kill! I have seen some very very fast lightnings but I don't think they are a lot to worry about in stock form. (Of course very few are stock anymore)

Had one and miss is so dearly........

Put down 475HP/520TQ Before the blower port/upper plenum port.

Nasty Nasty........ Very heavy trucks.... There good for the light to light race. Up top lose stream nless highly modified.

I'm surprised that they're heavy, i mean I know that it's a truck and all, I just didn't figure they would weigh a lot. lol

Watched a stock lighting run best of 14.2 at the track few weeks ago. Same time a SRt10 a chick was driving was going 13.8. Both was stock and both was regular cab.

my stock lightning runs 13.2's-13.4's all day depending on weather... colder the better...
this is on toyo proxies as well...

it also weighs 4950 with me in it... with about 220lbs removed via tailgate/spare tire/hitch. and passenger seat... i ran my pb of 13.22 at 5200lbs tho...LOL

alot of the lightnings out there may be modded but the tune is **** poorrrrr or you get a stock one with a clogged IC

BTW op... good kill

Built engine, ported blower by him, 250 direct port nitrous, killer chiller full suspension, dropped like 700lbs out it. He has done all work his self.
