Nitrous Oxide - 'Bout to set this car ON FIRE! Help!

I am so f*ckin' pissed at this thing. I was in a good mood yesterday too. Jus' took the car out of storage a few weeks ago and changed the headlight motor and replaced my blown speaker in the front.

So I took it for a short spin testing out my new speakers. I did a quick rundown of the nitrous because I am doin' a head/cam build with a 150 shot in the upcoming weeks and since I haven't touched the nitrous since I stored it, I wanted to make sure everything was good to go. I opened the bottle up, and tested out the purge. It purged - so I closed the bottle and purged whatever was left in the lines.

A few seconds later, the car chimed and my gauges all went to zero (gas, oil, speedometer, battery etc) but the car was still running. I turned quickly into a White Castle and turned it off. The car wouldn't start afterwards. I called my pops and we tried jump-starting it with no luck. I had to call AAA and have my car towed home.

Anybody with some insight? I jus' bought a new battery about 2 weeks ago.

Check your fuses

Sounds like the fuse for the gauge cluster.

CHeck your grounds and misc power wires, something had to become disconnected. It sounds like what happened when my car would short out due to the power wire running from the battery to starter (which was bare b/c it melted due to header heat) hitting my header on hard shifts. except when it would happen to mine all my gauges would reset for about 5 seconds, then go back to where they should be.

Whew! It turned out to be a fuse only. I tend to jump to worst-case scenarios. Now I have to go back and recheck my wiring which'll be a pain in the butt.

What fuse was it?

Don't recall the name of it off the top of my head. All I remember was it was a 10 fuse, first column on the left, bottom row.
