Me whooping up on a 2011-2012 Supercharged, Bolt-on, stalled and tuned 5.0 Mustang..

Looks like you treed the shit out him and he came back some. What did both you run? Looked like both ran fast passes. Why cut off before win light and times. Like said look like he might have came back. Any idea what blower he had?

I did tree him pretty good but he never pulled back any.. He ran a 10.75@127mph and I ran a 10.57@128mph. The DA was terrible that night. He did tell my buddy he normally runs 3-4 10ths faster but so do I. No not sure of what blower he had. I knew the guy with the Cobra and they knew each other. I was told the car was full bolt ons, supercharger, stall and it was tuned.. We both had N/T written on our windows so that's why there was no times..

Man my 60ft was all over the place. All low-mid 1.4X's I figured out on my last pass that I had my damn seat to far back and wasn't putting the peddle all the way down to the floor.. Rookie mistake I know.. lol

Was the mustang dark blue with bigs and littles? Any idea if him and the cobra guy was from lafitte? If so, that car usually runs low 10's in the 130's.

I'm not sure about the 5.0 but the Cobra guy does. The 2 does know each other. I normally run low 10's right at 130mph.. My best time so far with the new motor was 10.39@129.96mph SO I just rounded down to 129mph.. Ima be working on the N2O kit soon. Ima hit it with about a 200-250shot.. :devil:

I went 10.57@128mph and he went 10.75@127mph So I was over a second ahead of him.. Not that close.. I launched out about a car and a half on him and thats where it stayed. Both cars were pretty even in power I just left a lot harder than he did..

My 60ft was a 1.44 and his was a 1.61..

My 1/8 mile was 6.7@101.85 his was 6.9@100.43
My 1/4 was 10.57@128mph his was 10.75@127mph

o.k. I just found out that his best 1/4 mile time so far is a 10.36 so he should have been a little closer to me than he was. He said he was having shifting issues with the tranny.. Looks like our cars are pretty evenly matched. His best so far was a 10.36 and mine was a 10.39..

a lot of guys re-tune their cars when they bracket race....to keep their times consistent from week to week. we never did that with the camaro. one week, we may run 10.0's, the next we may be in the 10.3's or slower. it used to piss people off, 'cause they never knew what we'd run. we didn't go down there to work on the car though. we went down there to race, and relax. all we had to do, was re-jet the carb properly, and bring the timing up a few degrees, and she'd have been in the 9.8's all night long. neither of us had license for 9's though, and neither of us wanted to be bothered getting it, so we kept thing consertive, and ran 10's.
