Question 2.08/1.57 Valves in a 799 heads question.

2.08/1.57 valves can fit in the 799 heads if i change the valve seats?

You think is a good idea in a 6.0L block .030 over?
Thanks for your input.

PRC stage III LS6 heads come with 2.08/1.60 valves, so yes it can be done.

Should work well in a 4.030 bore.

With nothing else being done to the head it isn't worth the trouble IMO.

Is it a racecar or mostly street car? That valve size might be a little big for a 370ci daily driver, but it's not a bad idea for something that will see WOT pretty often.

It is most of a race car it going to see street driving very few times. For now the set up is 6.0L with Diamond flat tops .030 over and eagles rods 6.125 a MS3 cam with edelbrock 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 headders ,4500 stall in a
th400 with t/brake and 8.8 rear with 4.10 and a like 200hp shoot.

Sounds like it will be a beast. I don't know about the MS3 though. If I remember correctly, the lobes are on the aggressive side and may not like heavy 2.08" valves.

How a lobe can be not like a heavy valve? What you mean with that ?
